I think that a four cylinder are the best solution for a "real offroader" like the Defender,

less weight, more torque at low rpm.....

6 cylinder are good for road oriented suv and car..........

it's only my opinion (in the past I was an engine designer and developer) ......

ask about the off road drivebility of the new Mercedes G 320 vs the old ....

Yes onceits developed and tested i will hopefully be selling the soloution in kit form for the end user, and possibily doing some installs.

Here is a snap shot of the engine bay as of this week, still loads to do but it now drives Smile Hopefully ill have it finished something like for the Peterborough show.

Ive not done much to it latley because ive been working on the D4 since November so its just collecting dust in a corner really, the cage is finished in T45 along with the rest of the metal work, i just need to plumb the lockers up wire the winches up and add some instruments and thats about it.

Im going to have to finish it soon as i plan some time next year to pull the 2.7 out and fit the new 3.0L TDV6 D4 lump to it Mr. Green

But first i must finalise what ive already started with the 2.7 but im short on spare time Sad
