Sounds like either the switch or the flasher relay (more likely the switch) Used to have a big problem with this in Belize where the contacts were corroding in the humidity.

Yep. Flasher relay. Had mine replaced a few months ago for the same problem. 2007 Defender 110

I have this too, but intermittent (like maybe once or twice a month).
Dealer can't find a fault (and of course they're behaving when they go in the garage), but tow electrics are badly corroded so they are being replaced in a couple of weeks time. Maybe I should get them to replace the relay too just in case? |

Don't forget that if a bulb has failed the system won't flash on that side of the vehicle either. It doesn't have to have failed either it can be a corroded/faulty terminal or bulb housing causing the problem, or trailer plug (as mentioned). But if it's happening on both sides then I'd suspect the relay first. 110 2.4TDCi

We had problems with corroded terminals on our TD5 as Derek said,have given the Puma's bulbs and connectors a good coating of vaseline. 2.4 90 XS

Started off as infrequent- now more often than not. Odd thing is that the alarm sequence of flashes via the fob starts them up again
 Relay should be a quick fix then. Might get seat belt replaced at the same time (wife keeps slamming the door on it  ) |

9/10's, clip the belt behind the back rest ajuster that keeps it away from the door stricker

to Charles Hurst Battersea for quick turn around, they didnt have the part so they scavenged it off a new vehicle, was very impressed by their can do attitude. Pimped black '07 Puma
