| Very heavy duty, hard wearing rear suspension for 300TDi? | |
I have a friend who has a smallholding & also does farm work. He uses a 300TDi 90. As he pulls up to the max on road & off road 6 tons (he says), he goes through rear suspension shocks, even HD fast. At the moment he's thionking about going customised leaf!
Are there any hard wearing, low maintenance rear coil shocks/dampers, not too expensive he could buy, either made for Defenders, or generally that could be fitted to a Defender? Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

I tow lots and heavy daily and i use bilsteins with Land rover Discovery extra H/D springs works well for me...the only prob he will get a 2" lift with the springs....hope this helps  NEVER TAKE LIFE SERIOUSLY. NOBODY GETS OUT ALIVE ANYWAY
