I hope he did it in the Winter and not during the Summer....bit different.
Keen to go again....not enough holiday to do it next year as 3 weeks in Morocco - 20 degrees of latitude the other way |

 from what I have read on the amazon preview, it seems to be winter because he talks about windchill but you probably get that in the summer there too  |

The book gives a turn by turn discription of the Road - as well as little deviations / trips off the road
Would be very usefull for a longer trip with time to explore the vilages and side roads - not too usefull on a dash to Nordkap in winter We never looked at ours during our trip But a good read about the area before you go Will definatly take it if we go back for a spring relaxing holiday |

as you know we are going in Feb, like you say a dash, but we are also thinking of a longer 30 day trip next summer with the children and taking in the axe foundry and meeting up with our friends in Norway. the book is enroute to me now, so hopefully I'll have time to read it before we go |

book arrived today ...
pretty good, covers summer and winter conditions, road signs, speed limits, fuel stops, other rules, convoy driving, insurance & documents, tolls, accomodation, wild camping, maps, advice, money, service stations/gas stations... ... then a km by km guide to the top of europe from the arctic circle border. anyone planning on going on a trip (organised or not) should consider getting the book. for example: I know Tromso, I have friends there and visited in Feb 2012 (by air), it pretty much describes everything available there including tourist office, fuel stations, hotels blah blah blah ...
