After getting a remap and being advised to ditch the straight thru pipe, ive had a cherry bomb fitted, but whilst its quiter it also feels a bit slower!. Anyone else had this? Im due to fit the booster box later

I've got a straight through with cherry bomb on the back of the TD5 90 and it certainly is no slower than standard set up. Can't comment on a pure straight through.

cherry bomb on a td5 Question any videos and does it sound good, my 90 has straight through and sounds ace but im guessing it would sound beefy with a cherry bomb Thumbs Up CSK Automotive

I've not long done a straight pipe replacement for the mid box and a pre 2002 non cat downpipe on my 110 just leaving the back box on and mine picks up her feet a lot quicker, can pull away at junctions much faster than before and certainly pulls better at lower speeds in a higher gear. I'm certainly happy with the result, de-catting it certainly made a difference to mine!

Well i had the straight thru no cat no middle and no silencer for over a year, but itwas deafening on the motorway, . The cherry bomb made it alot quiter, but still has bit of noise when i hit the loud pedal

You may have to put the cat back on for MOT,

The day it becomes part of the MoT test for diesels, then yes it will go back on, untill then it gathers dust in the back of the garage. Even if diesels start getting cats involved in the MoT test it is highly unlikely that a 10 year old plus vehicle would be included.

Nice actually. In fact you'd never think it was a transit engine under there. The Puma with the remap gives nearly 450nm of torque on the rolling road.

Thanks. What make did you go for? I've found a Terrafirma one on ebay for £57 but would like a recommendation... Cheers,

RUBBISH!!!! This has been done to death.....You will not have to put it back on as it is not a 'sparked ignition' vehicle! Mine just sailed through an MOT without one. Also as JWL stated it is highly unlikely if introduced it will be retrospective.

I designed one from scratch and I'm running a prototype on my 110. I'd say more but as I'm not a site sponsor I may get double tapped. Rolling Eyes

I guess you are talking about the centre box replacement pipe ?

I have a TF one on my 110 and it makes no difference to the sound at all.
