I want one of these!

Although the reputed running cost of $20 per sec is a bit daunting.

EDIT - sorry that seems to be a mobile device link only, this may work better:

Thumbs Up one ten 1983-early85 (2 pieces door- the most confident).

Also seems to have a galvanised divider between the two door sections. No push button handles either. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

They are basically series door bottoms with anti burst latches. The galvanised strip continued on to the next type of door that had lift up handles still but wind up windows.

The manufacturer even makes a mount kit for the Defender:-

http://www.dillonaero.com/content/p/9/pid/...over_Mount

Apparently the cost of ammunition has rocketed since the $20 per second estimate I quoted above and it is now about $1 per round on the US civilian market, so about $3000 per minute. I believe that the cost of the minigun is about $200k in those US states which allow private ovwnership of fully-automatic weapons

It is actually quite terrifying that it is legal anywhere to own one of these as a private citizen. Shocked

I watched an episode of Mythbusters the other night where they used that gun to cut down trees! An awesome piece of machinery and the fact that it was wielded by Kari from the show only added to the spectacle Whistle
