Just found out we are now under red alert all night for major rain storms
According to the flood information we could be living on and island within an island in the morning, all the rivers round us are on red flood alert. Mrs B had me out clearing all the road drains earlier (in the rain), they have blocked before and caused problems. Is this weather ever going to improve ? If I'm not on here for a while, send in the food parcels

Not wishing to be a 'doom mongerer' but they reckon due to the jet-stream being several hundred miles further south than it should be this weather's in for weeks.
I've got trench foot....I'm eating Aero Orange Bubbles they're ace!!!! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Been looking at the pictures from your area Greeni, not good.
Taking the *** out of Brendan on the phone last night as it was chucking it down in Yorkshire and we had glorious sunshine - eating my words now Know what you mean Steve, be doing my suspension change on the 90 in December at this rate 
Still, have a damn good excuse to watch the GP qualifying Saturday

Been raining all day here. However we are not worried about the rivers flooding/breaking banks where we live. Nearest river is a few hundred feet below us! Despite taking the Micheal, Bob, stay safe

We are about 10 metres above the nearest river which is approx 300 metres away so normally we are OK. Problem we have is the water coming down off the fields, it blocks the drains with all the rubbish it carries. Boxster not for sale yet, just going out with the welding gear, weld the doors up and it will make a great boat
Just had a look at www.raintoday.co.uk, put my postcode in and found that the low is centred right over us

We had a phonecall from the Environment agency to warn us of flooding in our area. Yesterday they predicted us a dry weekend!  Rich

I've just got in from laning all around Salisbury plain and Devizes area..... mucho puddles around! good to clean the bottom of the 110 off though

Well, we managed to get away in our caravan for the weekend - Yorkshire Off Road Club trial on Sunday.
Rained a lot this morning, then stopped for a while (conveniently as we were getting hitched up, etc), got here not raining, got all set up and then shortly after the next storm came in. Come 6 pm though, no more rain, and we've spent a very pleasant evening around the camp fire with a few beers/wine. Not near any rivers and the campsite drains well, forecast improving for tomorrow, so all is well. Brendan and Barbara are going us tomorrow I believe!  |

Bob, once you have welded the doors up on the boxter, consider some goldfish ? it could make a nice water feature to your lovley garden
