looking at the 2012 2.2 110SW
looking to acquire this, want a few few quick questions.

its fitted with a particle filter, does river crossing and getting wet do any damage to the particle filter?

how sensitive is the engine to poor quality fuel? my current ride can drive on vegetable oil, so i never have issue with fuel. but am not sure about the commonrail euro 5

i assume the wading depth is 500mm like all other defenders unless you fit specific wading equipment.

i can't help with your fuel question though; perhaps an email direct to LR may assist?

I think it's fair to say that it will be more sensitive to poor fuel that previous Land Rover engines. In some markets (South Africa for instance) they are being supplied without the DPF because they won't work with the local fuel, which has a much higher sulphur content that Europe. I don't know what veg oil would do to it, but I'd bet good money that it would invalidate the warranty. Darren

The 2.2 as most other modern diesel engines will not run on veg oil without damage.
