I think it's a case of cutting your losses because were in for the long haul with the recession. He suggesting that hiring a prestige model is more financially frugal rather than seeing it drop into oblivian.

It's the same with boats prices, they are just crashing, the boat I am after was 32K last year.

Just been offered 23K by a trader so it's good to know £24,250 is a good price. He will have it on the forecourt for 26K...

NOW DOWN TO 23.5K

OK got my boat for a crazily low 23.5K (9K under the asking Shocked) as it was a trade in and I am going to do some work for the company getting an online club going...It's worth 27-28K so I have re-couped what I have lost on the Defender and have preserved my lump a little longer Very Happy

Have been offered 23K from the trade for my Defender and am willing to take 23.5K, this weekend only, then it goes to the trade.

Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Mr. Green

She's beautiful - and that refers to the boat and the Defender. Seems you're half way there - good luck with the other Thumbs Up Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

Thanks Matt, it could have swung either i.e. keep the Defender Very Happy and buy a Cornish Shrimper (smaller boat) but this baby is so cheap Shocked and it will give me some amazing challenges/experiences starting with sailing her up from Plymouth to Chichester Harbour with some interesting characters as crew Cool

Can always sell her in 3 years for 27K, you never know my Defender may be able to be bought back Wink
