mind you I never know they could do 65 mph - especially pulling a trailer Laughing

Legally it can't anyway...and I wouldn't want to risk anything even approaching that speed over on the continent. The Police are usually Censored hot on speeding towers even in the UK.

Please explain that. With a trailer, is there a more restrictive speed limit in the UK than when driving the same vehicle without a trailer?

Here on the continent that is surely not the case. In France for instance with our without a trailer the speed limit is 130KM/Hr, in Switzerland 120KM/Hr. A trailer or not does not make any difference.

In UK that is different then Question You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

Yes, with a trailer you are limited to 60mph on dual carriageways and motorways, and 50 mph on a single carriageway (these rules already apply to 2011(?) onwards Defenders anyway as they are commercial vehicles, although singly they can do 70mph on a motorway.

When I was hauling abroad I understood the limit when towing to be 90kmh in France, and I think either 95 or 100 in Holland. As you suggest, they do vary from country to country, and I think also by weight ratio of tractor to trailer.

England 2010 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 USW Stornoway Grey
It's the full NK Kit. Having said that, biggest improvements on their own (in the USW) were the engine blanket (by a big margin), the pieces on and above the rear wheelarches, and around the seatboxes.

Mind you, I went bonkers, and soundproofed the roof too (not with NK, though)! Still wouldn't exactly characterise the Defender as 'acoustically dead' though.... Rolling with laughter

james - is your noisekiller kit just the bonnet blanket?
