Niffko, looks impressive, and pictures taken in a beautiful country.
But a question about the snorkel you have fitted. Looks like it is not feeding the engine air intake, (original being on the side of the wing), but the car heater intake. How does that work, not sure I understand? Did you rerout the engine air intake to the top of the wing or so? I always see snorkels feeding the original sidewing air intake. There is no point of snorkel feeding the heater intake of course, so... You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

The complete original setup and all this plastic-nonsense was removed. Instead an increased air intake with a conversion kit for the air filter box and straightening of the intake was implemented. Much more air going straight in ... and everything was sealed an waterproofed.
The side input is no longer used for the engine - only for the heating. |
