England 2010 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Stornoway Grey
CRE 8900 CB and fcxRADIOBOX
First impressions of the CRE 8900 are it's a goodun... Plenty of user tweaks, and PC programming is a real bonus. Thumbs Up
I've been playing with it on a 10 metre "longwire" antenna, and have heard loads of good stuff.. Works great on the 10M ham band, as well as 11M cb.. It's a little bit on the expensive side, but I like new toys!!!

Anyhoo, I've got all the bracketry sorted to get it installed in the fcxRADIOBOX, so as soon as I plumb in the 12v supply, it'll be good to go. Stay tuned for pix n words!!!

Antenna will be a Discovery III.. Definitely not a covert piece of kit!! ... ,-------,

As a responsible ham wannabe....
You can't go wrong with the Sirio 5000 or 4000 antenna.

I like the look of the CRE 8900, nice rig Thumbs Up
