Just got my mechanic to order some new belts and a rocker gasket, But he seems to think they are the wrong ones, and needs the reg no to order the parts.
And as this engine had been retro fitted I have no idea of the reg of the vehicle it came from. Is there a way round this? Surely a 200tdi is a 200tdi? You cant polish a turd! Just to add to the confusion.... I once saw a (genuine!) serpentine belt on a 200Tdi.... a factory one, not some cobbled together thing. must have been right at the end of the 200 production prior to 300, or maybe some test mule thing that got away.
