Scotland 2009 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 SVX Soft Top Auto Santorini Black
Puma Idle Jack
Hi All
does anyone know, if the idel jack on the 07 onwards defender can be turned off? reason being i have an auto box fitted to my svx, when in low gear, it revs and causes it to run away with its self, which is not good on decents.

or can anyone suggest how to by-pass the problem, so the engine management system does not know i have selected low range. i know there are different throtle responce curves while in low ration, but as i droive with hand controls, i have good feel and control. Cheers

have spoken with them, but where not sure. they would need to see the vehicle and probally come up with a re-map for low range, which is not a bad thing. Cheers
