Squeaky wheel now!
Hi guys, its in for a service on Monday BUT, Ihave had a squeaky drivers side front wheel for a while now at all road speeds. Today it got noticeable worst and grabbed at the steering a little before disappearing and then re-appearing several hours later.

Any ideas?

Stone in stone guard, bent stone guard, brake pads getting towards the end of their life(if the noise stops if you gently brake when it happens then that will point to the pads)

Stone stuck behind the front brake stone shield Thumbs Up

They are about as much use as a chocolate tea pot and you might as well remove them, 10 minute job per side.

Wheel bearing worn and or stub axle - get it looked at asap. My neighbour had similair symptoms on his 90 a couple of weeks ago and luckily got it fixed before it caused an accident.

Nah, its not a stone guys, its been like it for a while and I wash it and check it over nearly as much as Zag LOL Thumbs Up

I'm thinking it is a wheel bearing / stub axle issue and was just wondering if there was a common known problem so I can point the stealers in the right direction!

Mud guards replaced and strengthened, wheel bearin replaced, fuel breather issue sorted, new inlet manifold seal and a 24k service.

Frank Oggs in Elgin, seem very reasonable and being up here they are used to Defenders!
