You need a special tool to prime the pump on the move. It can be fabricated from common bits but probably worth consulting your dealer (or LR assistance, who carry a very small and mobile version). One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS

I know many people who have changed the filter without any special tool - just carry some fuel to add before refitting Mike

Yes - ignoring this; on all filters its what i have always been taught oil and fuel.
It usually works you get about 50% back in maybe up to 70...if its oil you obviously top all the way. Mike |
