1st post to say hello :)
Hi,

My name is Steve and I have just bought a 2000 TD5 Defender, I owned a Jeep Wrangler for 6 years. I ended up modifying it loads and running 35" tyres but in the end it wasn't what I wanted Laughing

I am going to do some holidays down to Morroccco etc. so this has swayed my choice of vehicle.

It's a 2000 TD5 Left hand drive, Disco gearing, twin long range fuel tanks (not sure what make but would like to find out) Some underbody armour. It seems to be in fairly good nick rust wise having spent time in warmer climates, although to my horror where the door seals sit have corroded badly Big Cry just sorting that now..

I have lurked a whilst I searched for a Defender and really like you forum it's very informative and friendly.

I am going to take some pictures later and hopefully add them.

Hi thanks for the welcome,

Yes it's a 90 and just found out it's actually Caledonian blue with a white roof (Just found out the blue I knew it had a white roof Laughing ), I thought about a 110 but it will be my daily car too and would be just a bit too big.

I have a couple of small jobs to do on it today, the exhaust is a little close to the sump and buzzes when you pull away and I'm going to change the gearbox oil and transfer oil when I get some.

Nice looking truck, my first DEFENDER had a spare wheel on the bonnet, where was the pic taken ? DEFENDER XS CSW 08 TONGA GREEN

Just down the road from my house in Rugby, it's at Lawford ford. You drive around the corner to the right to exit.

It's a really good shortcut from my parents back home as the only other way is through the town centre which is nasty busy.
