United Kingdom 2008 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Stornoway Grey
Just picked this up today!
Hi Folks,
I joined the forum a week ago and am trying to learn as much as I can. I have just bought a three year old Puma TDCi 110, see photo below. It came with a good range of accessories and I've only had to get it Waxoyled and add a new NAS tow step on the back.

Just checked it over and found that the NS rear door does not lock when pressing the remote key button AND the lockable wheel nut key is missing!

Then it got too dark and the neighbours were a tad worried when I started checking it over by torch light!
Thank God for Neighbourhood Watch!

Cheers,
Paul

Yep, I was bowled over when I saw it on the forecourt, I knew that if I didn't buy it quickly then it would be gone the next day. After putting the deposit down there were already a few people checking it over. There was more interest in it than the numerous RRS and Evoques that were parked near-by!

I've been looking for a Puma for the last two months and this was a no-brainer!

Nice, as for the lock, you'll find posts on the forum of possible probems with the wires chafing from the door to the b pillar Thumbs Up QRZ 2e0vpf

Thanks for the advice. As it's under warranty I'll talk to the Dealer tomorrow.

Cheers,
Paul

Nice looking motor.

If you can not find the locking wheel nut key, just ask the dealer if they or the previous owner has put it somewhere'safe

They will be able to supply a replacement one. Might take 10 minutes to try all teir keys to find which one fits.

Good luck with it and enjoy it.

Very nice, with tastefully done mods Thumbs Up

Might be worth contacting the previous owner about the locking nut, they get hidden in all sorts of places (seat boxes, taped to seat frames, behind speaker at rear etc etc. As well as chaffing wires I think some have had issues with the door card fouling the locking mechanism but a quick trim does the job - a search should give you the answer Thumbs Up

I had both of these problems, stealer did not supply a lock key when new, didn't find out until 2 1/2 years later when I went to change a wheel, took some shouting to get them to give me one! I also had the central locking issue which was fixed under warranty a couple of weeks ago.

You will want to strengthen your rear mudflap fixing points before they sheer through the rear wing lip if they haven't been braced already. Contact LEEDS as Entreg do a kit or you can make it up yourself!

This may also be helpful Wink
