Chalk test.

On a flat dry surface, draw a line of chalk across the width of the tyre. say about an inch wide, then roll the vehicle along the surface for a short distance and then check the chalk line to see where it has worn it off.

If the wear is mostly on the edges the tyre is under inflated. If it's mostly worn in the centre, but not on the edges it's over inflated. If it's fairly even across the width of the tyre and perhaps slightly less worn on the edges it's about right.

Gin with your eagle like eyesight Razz you would have spotted that we run our 110's on BFG M/T 255/85/16.

We use these as our preferred all round tyre. Road noise? You are driving a Defender. Lets face it they have the aerodynamics of two large bricks, normally with all manner of c-rap (sorry useful, valuable items) in the back. Tyre road noise? Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Sorry Brendan but I did notice the mismatched wheels and the heavily laden suspension. Was that a fridge in the rear? Call in if time next time Thumbs Up Oh and it really looked like she needed a day with Zag Whistle

Mismatch wheel due a puncture we picked up at the weekend just as we come off a greenlane.

Yes fridge in the back was for PamW Thumbs Up

Clean by Zag? I think he would have a heart attack if he saw our 'fleet' of Land Rovers. They are used as they are meant to be used Thumbs Up It would take him more then a day to get it to Zag standard and about 10 minutes before we got it dirty again. Rolling with laughter
