small leak
I have noticed a small leak from the foam inside the car near the windscreen hinge bolts its running down behind the dash and dripping on the floor mat should the foam get wet?any body had same problem.

Google Defender Water Ingress Manual...sealant into window rubbers, take off false window hinge and treat with sealant, roof to windscreen frame etc, gutter, sunroof, cappings, etc etc Thumbs Up

Thanks for that will order some sealant asap, should i run some over the foam joint under the windscreen gutter?

That would be tricky. I sprayed mine with ACF-50 and then put a more enduring layer of Wurth Rust Protection Wax which provides a tough stickeable film over the foam to hopefully repel any water. Both are aerosols and there will be other products suitable i am sure. The Wurth stuff is good as it is clear and quite tough Wink

This was my solution also for the foam strips between the rear top and cappings on the rear tub! It doesn't show you have done it Wink

I left two messages and ordered online as well just after Bobs post but didn't hear anything! I have a new tin somewhere just can't find it Mad Ordinary sealant does the job though for the most part...

now that's given me an idea. Here was I waiting for a couple of dry days so I can seal those gaps front and rear (where the foam strip is) with black mastic as rain is wicking through them into the footwell but I have an aerosol of Fabsil (used for waterproofing caravan awning roofs) in the shed so I might soak them in that instead to see if it works
