Towbar electrics question
Hi, I just fitted a genuine Land Rover towbar to my Defender (Puma 110). Can you put your hand up inside the drivers wheel arch and find the plug for the electrics to plug into already there - just as it was on previous TD5's ? If that is the case it's just a case of me buying the socket with wiring and plug attached and hey presto Mr. Green

(I can not get to my Land Rover at present to go see)

Thanks in advance Thumbs Up

I second that. Fitted ours myself too. Easy peasy.

It depends on whether you going for the seven pin or the new euro thirteen pin.

Personally I like the thirteen pin with the locking mechanism and use a converter.

However, the thirteen pin is a pain to wire in as it needs to go into the battery box and dash.

I bought a full Dixon Bate set up and the electrics from the dealers and fitted it myself. Think i paid £60 for electrics and £100 for the D-B kit. Easy to fit, just takes a little time. All good fun though. It's genuine kit so they can't complain about it under warranty.

Thumbs Up
