My DC has to go

I've posted a few times that my wife & I are attempting to move house, and have been saving as much money as possible. Well, on Friday afternoon we accepted an offer on our house, and we are now on the proper hunt for somewhere to live. Sadly, this means that my beloved Double Cab pick up has to be sold.

It is a 110 XS, Double Cab Pick Up in Stornoway Grey. Obviously, being an XS model, it has the 'nicey' bits on it, such as the heated seats & screen, aircon, CD player, etc. I have also added heated mirrors which make a world of difference!

It was first registered in April 2011, on an '11' plate. I bought it from my local dealer with just 99 miles on the clock. Since in my ownership, it's done a measly mileage due to me using my bike to get to/from work. It's currently on 3750 miles!

I've swapped the original alloys for gloss black Zu's (including the spare), with BFG KM2's (285's). These were fitted less than 2 months ago! Also fitted is a Patriot 'Security Tilt', which I adjusted to hinge across the top like a tailgate and fitted a gas strut to hold it open. This new 'tailgate' also closes across the drop down tailgate, locking it shut. As you can see from the pics below, I've also got an A-bar + pair of spots. I also fitted the black chequer plate wing tops, along with the gaskets. Not long after I took possession, I undertook the job of Dinitrolling the whole underside.

Although it's currently on the 'MRS' number plate, I will be putting it back onto the original '11' registration.

The truck is exactly how you would expect it to be, considering the age & mileage. I have used it once off road on the Christmas Salisbury Plains run, so it really hasn't been mis-used in any way at all. It is immaculate.

Obviously there is the remainder of the Land Rover warranty, etc etc and is as you would buy it form your local dealer (except I'd give you a better service)

I bought it as a private buyer, so there will be no VAT to pay on the sale. I know prices seem to be all over the place for these, but I am listing it at £24495.00

This is a very sorry sale, but reality has hit that our new home has to take priority. I won't be leaving the fold entirely, as I'm looking to get a little series L/R or something to replace it with.

Please don't make things difficult for me!

The couple collected my DC this morning. Was harder than I thought it'd be

Still, it's definately gone to a good new home over in Essex. She'd been pining since they sold her 90 in October time after putting 50k on it.

In a way, I hope I don't see it again on here etc - think I'd be even more gutted. Mark
