Fitting a Dog Guard / Cargo Guard
Has anyone fitted on of these themselves? I have had a look on TOPIx for the fitting instructions and it looks fairly in depth, drilling, looks like i have to remove part of the roof lining etc?

I have been offered one. It doesnt come with any bolts etc, so i would need to get this. Does anywhere sell a fitting kit, or will i just have to match them up?

Any info would be great.... Current:D4 HSE

bought the complete kit from LR (including bolts and brackets) - relatively easy to fit in my experience. Upper brackets near the alpine lights needed bending up 1/4 to 1/2" so as to get the guard to not sit on the wheel box (the flat area). I didn't fit the lower set of links as I didn't feel it was needed nor did it appear to add much to the strength of the whole thing.

You do have to remove some of the plastic mouldings - but not the roof lining

Allow yourself a morning to do the job

thanks mate.

The one i have been offered has the top brackets, but doesnt have the side brackets that you attach to the bulk head bar bolt, or the any brackets for the floor area. I am guessing they are needed.

I will maybe see if i can get a set from somewhere. Not sure if LR will sell them seperatelty?? Current:D4 HSE

I believe a Puma guard will fit a TD5 but a TD5 will not fit a Puma. Something to do with the plastic side panels on the Puma CSW intruding into the loadspace more... 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

I have got a Td5 dog guard from ebay, with most of the bits but im missing a few. I have the brackets, and most of the hand screws, but im missing some of the fixings.

Im not worried about the 6 x bolts & washers (unless anyone can tell me the sixe needed to fit properly)or the 6 brackets or 6 hand screws on the images above as i should have them,

but does anyone know about the 4 differtent types of fixings in the bottom left corner of the image and the little x2 top hat type fixings in the bottom centre of the drawing.

Spoken to LR, they are useless and apparently cant help as it cant be brought seperately.

Anyone have any ideas? Current:D4 HSE
