dastek
i know this subject(s) have been done to death in the past but, i've got a dastek box on loan and i can't see it's made that much improvement, there weren't any instructions in the box but it's just plug and play. but at nearly £500 it's alot of dosh for something that hardly makes a difference. Can it be remapped? is it really worth it? i've already had a price from twisted of £600 to remap, i'm looking for slightly better fuel consumption.

Give Gary at Alive a call and get a tailored remap for your vehicle, especially when you consider the price of both options and you dont need to send away your ECU either as Alive now do a remap interface for the td5. Wink Whistle Thumbs Up

As above, talk to Gary, get what you really want. £500 for something you can't notice is not good, you will notice what Gary will do Thumbs Up

As above........... Give Gary a call Thumbs Up

Dastek- they tend to be re-programable- not 100% on a LR one though as all the ones I have encountered were for highly modified petrol turbos.

I had a Dastek on my Disco 2. When I swapped to a Defender, I had a 'proper' ECU tune (courtesy Pete at BAS).

I think that says it all.... And no, I wouldn't go back. Swapped the Dastek for some beer tokens.

Get a proper tune. You won't regret it.

I had one on my old defender td5,it came with the car.
When I sold the car I removed it.i think it did make quiet a big difference but sold it.
Since then I have had 2 remaps done both by Ian ( porny ) at IRB he know is stuff when it comes to tuning👍
Thanks Ash
