there are peeps on here better qualified than me to answer that.
i would probably start with a very liberal coating of WD40 to penetrate and ease and assuming it works the oil with something like 3in1 or similar [probably us ethe spray can LR always leave in the Puma after a service] BM52 |

I would start by making sure everything is tight, then lube the mechanism with 3in1 oil (not WD40), then i would adjust the lock. There are to torx bolts on the B post, loosen these then adjust so it is central to the gap in the catch of the door, it is also worth check that is correct on it's depth as well, this is adjusted by packers on the B post. A good indication will be marks/gauges on it.

If you have to adjust the striker check for hinge wear and door droop. If you can lift the outer edge of the door it could be the hinges are worn. Brings back memories of door issues on my old 300. BM52 |
