Found Problem With Door Switches/Alarm on 2011my dc!
All
Having had my 2011my 110dc since april with no problems so far, i knew i had one coming, well today i found my first fault!
Started and drove fine parked in a local car park i noticed the interior light coming on then going off, checked all the doors were shut , they were, and operated the door switches one by one to free any sticky ones.
Drove off and within a couple of minutes the interior light comes on again.
Got were we were going and tried to lock the car, oh dear, Alarm goes straight off, no miss lock double horn just full alarm.
Of course its now raining!, got home checked all the the switches and found that all the door switches work with one cable and earth connection to complete the circuit.
The passenger door switch was connected with the correct connector, but the insulating oversleeve which is black in colour was missing and it had picked today to start and short against the pillar surrounding the switch.
This was making a intermitent connection to earth and illuminating the interior light, and also cocking up the alarm immobiliser/central locking.
Obviously got missed on the build, but had been fine up to now!.
Worth checking yours to make sure they have the insulating covers on,preferably when its not raining.

Hi Deano.
good spot !! we have had a simmiar post recently where the lock stops working - so this seems to be a 'weak' spot and needs to be kept an eye on!
