NEW - The Expedition & Overland Travel Show 2012
After the postponement of the Overland & 4x4 Show a new show, The Expedition & Overland Travel Show will take its place for 2012.

The event will take place on Sunday 12th Feb 2012 at:

Experiance The Country
Hounslow Hall Estate,
Newton Longville,
Bucks,
MK17 0BU

On the former Land Rover Experience site.

Details are still being finalised, but expect a friendly and social event with camping available for those hardy enough to brave the February weather.

This will be an event for the whole family, with activities such as archery and Laser tag available for the kids, bushcraft demonstrations and talks on a wide range of topics.

To register for email updates, simply send an email to overland@ontargettevents.co.uk with OVERLAND in the title. You will be added to the mailing list and received news about the show on a regular basis.

If you have any suggestions about what you would like to see at the event, please feel free to drop me an email on the above email address – I am all ears!

Cheers

All in hand, companies will be contacted over the next few weeks giving deatils of the show and costs.

As a regular show goer I am well aware that the trade are one of the main draws for any event. I am also painfully aware that it costs traders an aweful lot of money to attend these events.

I intend to price the event for maximum attendance, with details being finalised on Thursday. 2002 Defender 110 DC

Ouch, this will cost me. An overland show that's near the wind tunnel! Nick

Yep, escape in MK has an Xacape snow dome with Air kix sky diving simulated, climbing wall and real snow ski slope. 20mins away from the venue. 2002 Defender 110 DC

The wind tunnel in Bedford is much better (size wise) but Airkix is also good. I am definitely going. Nick

I think the costs of suppliers attending have killed shows in the past, the organisers perhaps getting a little greedy have put the 'big boys' off and the smaller business' have not stood a chance to even get a foot in.

I have a final meeting with the venue tomorrow, but I am aiming for prices that will attract the trade and visitors rather than lining my wallet.

I am organising it for fun, not profit! (tho a little would be nice - I have my eye on a few bits for the 110!) 2002 Defender 110 DC
