Is tdci maf cosidered to be "expendable",ie should be replaced everynow and then?
I know -from my td5 days- that maf sensor gradually ages so performance and economy.

Always check the steering box at straight ahead position and adjust if nessecary,if that was the question,cause the tittle differs  |

I took my t/box out to check after putting a camera in the casing and could see a small bit of brown dust , just greased it and refitted
You can stick a camera in there without dismantling anything ... |

If the turbo seal was gone,the smoke screen from your exaust would be "quite" visible from many hundred meters away!

I believe that if it's correctly connected,it 'll work ok,no matter the location of the sensor.
