Same here have a reg ending in BDU td5 county with all the bells and whistles aircon abs and tc apparently owned by Landrover as press/fleet car

I just checked the VIN and you are 100% right. Although the car was registered in 1998, it is indeed registered as a TD5.
So despite what the previous owner thought, that car was never a 300TDI but ... |
