I bought a £10 puller tool on eBay for that purpose, and managed to take it out fairly easily. I am happy I did as it turns out to be an early TD5 SW and indeed came as a 36 splines.

Maybe undo the nut and count the splines.

That’s what I thought. I was surprised to see that even johncraddock seem to think 1998-2003 have fuel tank issues when it comes to side steps ?!?

Thank you. If yours is a 2003 you might have no probs w yours then.

Also my 1998 has a shielder chassis, not sure whether it makes it even more complicated :/

Finished the sound proofing and tested the hardura on top. It looks pretty good. I thinking I might do the front in the same way
