Should be an expansion gap all around the perimeter of the room, normally concealed under the skirting board which should lightly sit on top of the flooring.

I can't figure where they came from, but I had them kept with the fuel tank bit ...

I'll answer my own question.
Looks like easier to replace the whole fuel pipe assembly - tank to filter.
Around £50, just need to talk to supplier to verify PN, but looks like it might be lr031344
...

I tried my local A-Plan office at the time, and the quote was high - I kind of assumed that A-Plan was A-Plan.

Looking at it, the fuel breather is not very well secured, so topping off can easily put fue ...
