Went and checked mine, does not touch. Comes reasonably close.

I got Bas remap, EGR switched off and no chuck chucka etc
The Ultragauge also shows it inactive so am sure mine is closed. |

Swapping from steel cable to synthetic is just a simple swap. No need for a new drum. You will need the fairlead for the synthetic rope though. The one with the rollers will damage the rope. |
