A couple of things to try before you remove the door card:
Give the lock mechanism a good flush out with WD 40 and re lubricate with light silicone spray
Check that the door is not closing too tight ... |

If it is the Mud LED light check your polarity. LEd's only work if the polarity is correct. Swap the wires round after first checking the fuse. Blew the fuse when i put LED into interior light! |

Have not mastered photos yet on the forum.
Not difficult to find though. Three holes just behind bottom seal, front middle and back if I recall correctly. I used a pencil to clear mine.

First check that the drain holes in bottom of door are not blocked.
