Had exactly the same on mine last year, repaired with the resin. You can still see the chip, the resin just bonds it to prevent futher cracking or dirt/water ingress.

mine was free .. shouldnt cos ...

Unlike the TD5 filter it is not threaded but uses 3 lugs to twist on... once replaced my engine feels much livlier and idles much better. Winter seems to throw all sorts of crap around the filler and ...
