It may not be of much help but I don't think the genuine rivets are black. I recently bought a set of OEM mudflaps and mine aren't black.

Unbelievably... It works!! Very Happy
In the end I realised that the actuator will hold the lock in whatever position it is left in and therefore negate the need for the broken spring! Perfect!
