| Even with vice grips clamped and stopping rotation of the rod underneath… I have turned the nut probably a 100 times and nothing changes… I do have resistance, by hand I cannot spin it |

Could you put a charging point under the bonnet and then put the charger under the bonnet as well and then run the power cable out to the house/garage/outdoor socket?
