| Yep DPF was removed in Pretoria & had a map off Pete. I’ll check the the spec on the Toyota oil but think it just said B ( never get the actual full spec here!) thanks…. |

The truck is due for an oil change, do it every 5k here. Can’t get the good stuff C1, so would you leave it & do it when I can source the proper grade or use a good quality 5/30?

My thoughts exactly, still world of difference since swapping the old one out & used ( working one in)
Also had the steering damper bushes done / couple of tre’s & a 20/20 UJ joint changed ... |

Best way of checking the EA is with a helper, to Rev the engine (after up to temp after a run) and look for the proper correct throw of theEA movement, ensure the pivots are lubed also.

| Actuator off, the rod connecting to the turbo itself is nice & free. Split the actuator & the worm drive looks to be in good condition but it doesn’t turn. Is there a way of checking it? |

I put my money on the map sensor, changed it & in neutral revs free & pulls through the rev range ( Pete’s 170hp map / Pete’s silicone hoses & intercooler) but it’s heavy.
