Evening from Canada,

Picked up last week a 202 110 SE P400 from the stealer (with a warranty!)

No mods so far, apart from a stone chip on day 2! Did a long (ish) drive, and some shopping still getting used to it, trying to find a comfortable seat position.

I need to wait for a change of province safety check, before I change the tyres, wheels, recovery hooks etc...

I'm new to owning a 1987 defender and have a leak on the outside of my allow, I'm not 100% sure on the name of the parts but after some googling I believe( please correct me if I'm wrong) this is axel drive flange dust cap and the gasket behind could be a drive flange gasket?

Does anyone have any advise if I'm on the right track that changing these two items could be the fix? And if the parts are even called what I've googled!

I tried to have a look for anything relating to this on here, but came up drawing a blank.
<br />
<br />
This is the crimp between the battery ground lead and the inner chassis frame rail, it acts as a captive connection for the clamping of the battery ground cable and holds it captivity in place whilst grounding the chassis / frame also.
<br />
I’m aware of the internal conductor corrosion issue inside the adhesive heatshrink, due to the gap between the crimp and the cable.

I have been lumbered with trying to help getting it going. Nanocom shows the max cranking RPM to be 280rpm with fully charged battery and a boost pack on the battery - it is spinning over very rapidly but not a hint of life from it - does this sound like a crank sensor fault? I would suggest it is spinning far faster than 280rpm

I've got an ex-military bonnet with spare wheel fittings on it. It's in good condition but it's stuck behind a pile of other treasure/ junk. If anyone is interested i'll dig it out and get some pics

Hi, looking for some help on a couple of things. The tailgate on my 90 doesn't seem to have a 'catch' on the door mechanism which keeps it open on a slight slope. Are they all like this or has anyone found a nice solution to it?
<br />
<br />
Also, the driver assistance defaults to high every time I get in. Anyone found a way to reprogramme that with the IID tool. I plan on ordering one soon.

Sadly vet says my dog may be allergic to protein ( he is on a raw meat diet) so has advised me to put him on hypoallergenic kibble. He is very sad <img src="https://www.defender2.net/forum/images/smiles/icon_cry.gif" alt="Crying or Very sad" title="Crying or Very sad" class="emoticon" border="0" />

Anyway, was wondering if there is such a thing as a decent quality air-tight plastic container that will take a large sack of kibble (either 7Kg or 11kg)

The only way to stop the repeat of this was to conduct a Hard Reset, remove the earth lead from the battery and leave, then reconnecting it much later.
