Thanks again. I've bought the intercooler and hoses from BAS and hope to fit them soon.

Pete said there was no need for further remapping after they were fitted (on my 2.2).

Quick question but probably not a quick answer, if a 2.4 tdci has already been remapped either BAS, Twisted, Alive etc.... but with the standard intercooler does it need to be remapped again?

Generally when i have read up on this subject its a case of changing/uprating the hardware then remapping?

Mine was remapped by Twisted, but with standard hardware?

Any thoughts, i like the BAS intercoolers but dont want to over write the twisted remap?

Pete says with his map there is no need for any adjustments as it automatically detects when the intercooler is fitted. No idea about other remaps.

In my experience fitting just the intercooler gives no noticeable gain in performance.

The turbo will give a very small gain but feels like more as the torque curve becomes wider and power is more usable.

Couple of things, firstly BAS do the tune for Twisted so a BAS/Twisted map and BAS intercooler will work together hand in hand and second, the intercooler will work with most remaps unless it has been very badly written Thumbs Up and will even work on a std map very well as after all it really only cools the air helping to keep the engine cool and for longer. Gas, Grass Or Ass - Nobody Rides For Free
