Pete mentions Iphone OR Andriod.... not just I phone

I also have a windows phone (work phone, was a free upgrade), it's Censored . can't wait to get another android with decent apps.

So I wouldn't knock Pete... why should he aim to a minority market of phone.

i wasnt knocking it i was commenting. i would of liked to have stayed with BAS that was all. i understand he doesnt do it, thats fine.

everything in our house is windows based, i just dont do the i thing Cheers

Another happy customer, used the remote remap tool, also has a decat, Nugget air kit from wing air intake to airbox, Allysport intercooler and oil catch can, also added the EGR blank plate, even though it's turned off on the new map. So much nicer to drive, very smooth and torquey, engine just seems "happier" at everything it's asked of, including the overtake when required 😊

A question for Pete,

I know there is a function on the 2.2 puma that holds the revs a little during gear changes. Do you alter this in the remap or add it to the 2.4 map?

Many thanks, Chris 2009 2.4TDCi XS Utility Wagon.

The 2.4 never had that annoying and pointless feature in the first place.

Pete's 2.4 remap is a revelation, once you have ttried it you will never want to be without it! Thumbs Up

Yeh, I'm glad it doesn't have that feature. One of the small reasons I bought a 2.4. I am 100% going to buy Pete's map but going to fit the BAS hi flow cooler first. Can't wait! 2009 2.4TDCi XS Utility Wagon.

Hi Pete,

You posted the following a long time ago:

“We could make a special map for the BAS2RRC tool that will give nearly 0 power and 0 speed allowance, this will mean the engine can be started as not to flatten the battery from continuous cranking over but it would be un drivable which should to the trick.”

How did it go? Has there been any feedback?

Now I have your RRC, tune & intercooler which I’ve got to say has been a complete transformation(I’ll do a better write up soon) I wouldn’t mind having this as an extra security layer.

Keep up the good work👍
Steve

Hi Pete,

I know this post was started ages ago but was wondering if there is still a special price for Defender2 members?

Thanks

Sent an e-mail to Pete last weekend about an immobilizer issue I was having. Not only did he respond on the weekend, but gave me some very useful information - top bloke.

In our email exchange, he also pointed out something that wasn't evident to me. I will relay it here, in case it may be useful to others:

- The RRC remap tool is used exclusively to pair with the ECU - its not a fully fledged diagnostics tool. This much I pretty much knew.
- Pete / BAS can also provide the GAP Diagnostics IID tool, which is IS a full diagnostics tool, that can also program / re-set the Lucas 10AS alarm. This was new information to me.
- The best bit, is that it can also be used to map the ECU with Pete's maps. To quote Pete "The Bas2 RRC tool is the engine only version of GAP tool so no disadvantage at all." This was a happy surprise!

Bottom line is the the GAP IID saves doubling up on a diagnostic tool (such as Nanocom etc...) and a BAS remap tool. One device will do it all - brilliant!

NB - Also exchanged a few e-mails with GAP. Super responsive and very helpful chaps.

Hello,
One thing which is a bit unclear to me is if the RRC remap tool needs to stay in place all the time to be able to see live engine data?

Wouldn’t this mean the fuse cover wouldn’t fit anymore, and the remap tool intruding in the footwell?

Cheers,
Johan H

For live data, yes. You can get a flying lead for it if you’d like to tuck it away. If you get one with a 90 degree plug you’ll be all good. Thumbs Up
