td5 abs
Hi guys,
qq.
On a td5 from 2002 with ABS, I understood how it works on the Back with the sensor and the ring.

On the front however, I only find references to the sensor, but what is the sensor reading from? I don't see any reference to a ring or anything like in the back.

The 'ring' is part of the the CV joint the sensor can be seen entering through the top of the swivel pin. Also can be found on Fb, Ytube, Insta & Twitter @4WDSouthwest

Hi does that mean there are abs specific cv joints? Couldn‘t find any reference on lrworkshop. Or is that „ring“ in all cv-joints?

I don't know the precise answer, but have a look here.... In the picture you can see the ABS notches

Simply any Land rover which could run ABS would run a TDJ000010 CV If you had a defender / disco / range rover classic from like 1995> then ABS or not then it didn't matter you had the ring machined onto the CV to save costs / confusion.

Same was 2007> one shaft / CV combo fits all.

Thumbs Up Also can be found on Fb, Ytube, Insta & Twitter @4WDSouthwest
