It is an improvement over the original Land Rover bumper painting process, however if you want better, stick to your original plan, buy a britpart galvanized bumper - it is remarkably good, and then paint it with your choice of paint. Just remember that zinc needs a bit of more preparation. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing 2012 90 CSW, 2.2TDCI, Santorini Black |

The current one lasted ten years? Stainless costs hundreds (and equally likely to be accidentally damaged)?
Buy the cheapest possible, paint it black if not already, replace it as and when, and think of the front bumper as a "consumable". Peter |

Id get a galvanized one and paint it.
Bumpers take abuse from all sorts - not only actual landrover use, but also people in car parks etc. You can't touch up a powdercoated unit. You can a painted one. Powder over non galvanized is a very temporary solution too. One stone chip and the water gets in behind and delaminates the powder over time. |
