ABS Problem
I recently overhauled the complete braking system on my 2007 2.4 Tdci, whilst there I replaced all the bearings.

I'm now getting the following fault on my ABS system

16-07 Front Left sensor output too low - Intermittent - happened 16 times

I've changed the sensor and still have the fault, before I go any further are there any suggestions of anything I could have done wrong with the bearing to cause this fault as it was fine before I replaced the brakes and bearing.

Any help much appreciated

It sounds like there isn't enough voltage being registered by the ECU coming back from the sensor. So first step would be check and clean the earths.

Next step would be to check the loom and connections for corrosion.

After that I would check the voltage output of the opposite wheel sensor and see how much lower the bad one is.

Let us know how you get on. Interesting problem, not seen this one before.

Another possibility is that the senor is not close enough to the reluctor ring, which would result in the inducted voltage in the sensor being lower than normal. It may be as simple as giving the sensor a gentle tap into the swivel pin.

I had that issue and as described a gentle tap (be careful) resolved it.

The sensors themselves are relatively inexpensive and plug and play - albeit you will need to throughly clean the surrounding areas and locating hole.
