You could tap into the inertia switch on the BHD, you can buy a harness for that cheap enough so you don't have to cut anything. Also the earth on the starter relay is a separate wire so you can tap into that if you wanted to inhibit the starter

TexasRover… I have that loom and its a simple install, hidden switch is perfect and easy.

I believe that the TD5 will (generally) continue to run without the fuel pump running, but at reduced power and I don't think it will start. The inertia switch may therefore achieve what you want, but possibly isn't 100% guaranteed.
If you're carjacked you may be able to follow them on foot, but for obvious reasons don't follow too closely (out of bluetooth range)! |

As always with security it is best to layer the security so that any would be light fingered opportunist thief would have to overcome a number of obstacles.
Obviously a determined group would only have to lift the vehicle onto a low loader and off they go. The chances are low that this will happen and slightly higher for the opportunist thief, so layer up the security is the best way to go. |

I used the inertia switch method on my old 110. I had an aftermarket keyring fob type thing, that had a coil which was fitted around the ingnition barrel. so when you put your keys in the fob would activate the coil.
Small black box hidden behind the dash, it just closed a relay contact when it was "unsecured" so I got the econoseal (or are they superseal? one of them anyway) connectors and plugged it inline with the inertia switch. All taped up it looked just like factory, and partially hidden behing the coolant expansion bottle under the bonnet you'd not even notice it was there. I made mine with a male & female plug on, so it could easily be removed from the loom (which was handy as the immobilser started playing up after a while, so I could just remove it totally) |

If anyone is interested, the bluetooth module is new on the market - I saw it at a LR show, Stoneleigh. It was developed in response to delivery scooter riders in London being pushed off their scooter and the thief then riding off with the bike. As soon as the bike is out of bluetooth range it starts to cycle through turning off whatever it's wired to interupt before permanently interupting it.
