Td5 2003 - starting/turning over issue!
Pleas can someone advise on the likely problem, which is, when starting it seems to take a lot of turning over to start. It seems to be on ccaisions.

The vehicle is stored under cover and not exposed to the cold and also happens when you have driven it parked up for few minutes.

Try running the fuel pump prime procedure before starting. Then listen to how noisy the system is, and if it is easier to start after. If so indicates fuel system, so injector seals, porous filter head.

When was the last time it had full service?

Oil change every 12 months and not many miles per annum, 5k/7k ish
