France 2002 Defender 110 Td5 DCPU Chawton White
Having recently moved a whole bunch of pieces between a td5 110 Station Wagon and td5 110 DCPU I can assure you there is no fundamental difference between the two other than the riveted in bulkhead on the DCPU (just aft of the C-pillar), which is obviously required to give you something to land the rear end of the cab onto.

The station wagon does not have any additional stiffening

My S3 88 station wagon has the bulkhead behind the the front seats (at the B-pillar). I think all S3 (8Cool have that bulkhead no? I have considered removing it, but always been reluctant since it does look to service some structural strength. The 109 Station wagon has the bulkhead replaced with a bar, so maybe the B-pillar is deemed not stiff enough, but that must have been addressed in the defender

I think that I will cut it down a couple of inches and report back if there's any I'll effects...

Thanks to all for your input - it is, as always, appreciated. This and the Ex Military Land Rover Association forums are by far the best of all forums I've ever joined..👍👍
