Clutch change / gearbox out - Tdci MT82.
Good evening all,

My apologies if this has been discussed to death - but I'm looking for the quick/easy/short answer🤣

What bits of the interior need to be removed (or make it easier) to complete the job?

Just the plastic tunnel to make it easier. Depends if you take the handbrake cable off or just take the drum off the back of the transfer box. I normally remove it whole and set it on top of the exhaust silencer, much easier to split the transfer off and replace the seal and splines on the adapter shaft.

Loosening the handbrake base makes it so much easier. And of course the lid under the cubby box. Puma 110" SW

Thanks - so to be clear - none of the dashboard needs to come out?? Be it to clear any gearbox bellhousing bolts or floor/transmission cover panels.

I’ve heard some people say some of the dash needs to come out.. (I can’t see why - but I’ve never had to do anything other than a couple of ignition switches to my tdci)..

I just take the whole unit off the back over the drive flange and keep it attached to the cable, I have done a fair amount of them Laughing

No non of the dash comes out or needs to be removed. As others have said just the handbrake cover, cubby box and front floor mats.
