Oil level indicator crack!
Yesterday when I checked the oil level, noticed two cracks on the base part of the oil level indicator. The pic shows one of the cracks and a similar crack seen in the behind too! Sad

Would like to know anybody experienced a similar problem. I am bit afraid of further crack will occur to fall off to the sump or any other part of the engine?

Should I replace the stick or any ideas guys? Very Happy

Please refer the link for the photo. Cheers.

Order a new one then, better to replace it than have a large piece of metal floating around your engine!

That looks like just it's just a split from where the 'end' of the dip stick is compressed onto the flexible cable - it's not a crack that will go through the flexible cable and cause the dip stick to break.

I would try to break the small bit of metal off so it doesen't end up in the oil
