patch for A post gap?
Hi, it's leaking from behind the front door seal through the gap between bulkhead and window frame. I removed most of what looks like a mess but was actually doing fine for years from factory. Cool

I think you can buy these sticky patches to close the gap? I don't know what to search for, though. Is it alu butyl tape?

Hi,

Scotch-Weld™ Preformed Sealant Strip 5313 is what you are looking for.

https://www.3m.com/3M/en_LB/p/d/v000117662/

Heat it in you hand like with modeling clay, than apply in the gap and tape over with Gorilla tape or any other kind of tape.

Happy water ingress hunt Wink

Ps: you should clean up all this old black seal and have a clean surface all arourd so the door seal will better do its job

Thank you. I cleaned it up, applied new pads and sealant; now hoping for the best.. :-/

These were the butyl pads I was looking for https://www.lrworkshop.com/parts/LR028972
However, given p&p costs it was cheaper to buy 10m of alu butyl tape and cut off 2x 2cm strips Confused
May use the rest to patch up the barn's rain gutter, finally Laughing
