Hi, yes the heater pads are present in the seats, the wiring will be under a grommet at the side of the seats....
If not it will need wiring in, we've wired quite a few in now  |

Put 12 volts across it and see if you get a hot arse?

I just had a look, I can see two rubber grommets at the drivers door side but looking in the compartment under it there are no spare connectors or wires!!  Click image to enlarge But I assume the expensive bit is the seats & heating elements so I could get the switches & wire the connection in or as you say get someone like yourselves who know what your doing to do it!!! No I don't have the switches just the blanks. It looks like I have the seats but nothing else. I've just been looking at switches from Dingocroft but I'm getting more confused over what I actually need with connectors etc!! Cheers |

MMmm yeah, no wiring !
We use (and can supply) Durite modular momentary switches, with illuminated heated seat lenses in the switch and wire them with a ten minute relay. Here's a (crap) picture, just taken off my phone, of ours in the F8 |

Just better say, the switches pictured are not final... The top half of the switch will be black, and not green with marker pen on
 We stole the proper ones off for a customer....Customers come first ! |

Without robbing Greeni of a sale,, I would also check what the price is of genuine switches ??

TJ..I had factory switches for my TD5...they are still in my toolbox, a pain to wire up because the factory didn't leave me the seat loom in either
 I use the standard waeco switches in mine... 2 heat settings |

Firstly what is an F8 (Sorry if it's a silly question) I was hoping to use the blank spaces already present on the dash to keep it looking original. I found the tread on here about the switches, but it seems the TD5 has a left & right but to what I can fathom they are identical bar the connector fitting on the back. So I was thinking two of these YUG102430 switches and alter the connector to make it fit. I think reading it's the connector from the under the seats to the wiring loom thats hard to find! You can use genuine switches, I'm very impatient for my own 90, I just wanted the quick route 
What spec is your 110?? And curiously, where was it from? |

ooooh now that looks like fun!
If only I had a larger budget!! I may well regret trying to keep it looking original! We'll see how it all goes! I think the hardest part will be getting the wiring in place & making the connection to the seat. I believe it the silver limited edition, They also did a black one I think. To what I have dug up, its limitedness is down to the Zambezi silver & some of the extras. I think it's country spec with some XS upgrades, ie seats, A/C central locking but I have no idea whats standard. By were from do you mean were I bought it? |

It seems strange that people spec XS seats and they aren't wired up by the supplier ?

I don't think they were spec'd by the person who bought it.
The edition that it is says it has half leather seats but there is no mention of heated or option to add. The A/C was an option looking at the brochure for the edition I found. So I think it was maybe land rover throwing in the XS seats but on a lower spec body! I did have an image of the spec sheet but it keeps failing to upload. So I had a look at the wiring diagram and can see the easy bit, seats direct to each switch (forgetting about the connectors for now) then I need to wire the switch to "fuse box satellite" (No idea which one that is) & the from the 20Amp fuse to the "Ignition relay" (again no idea which relay is the ignition one. MMMMMM |
